31,000+ Jump-Starts

Since 2010

AED 100 Fixed

No hidden surcharges

Need to jump-start your car in Dubai right now?

You are in the right place. Recovery Car Dubai is the city’s specialist in flat battery roadside assistance. We have completed more than 31,000 battery jump-starts since 2010, making it the single most common UAE breakdown call we attend.

dead car battery in 45°C heat is not rare here; it is routine. Our mobile vans carry NOCO Boost Pro portable jump boxes that deliver a clean, safe jumpstart without the voltage spike risk of cable-to-cable jumping from another running car, a method that can damage modern ECUs, alternators and sensors.

If you searched “i need a jump start” at 2am from a Marina basement, a Sheikh Zayed Road shoulder, or a school car park in Jumeirah, our nearest van is moving inside two minutes. AED 100 fixed. On-scene in 30 minutes. No subscription, no membership, no hidden surcharge.

About 1 in 7 flat-battery calls we attend turns out to be something else: alternator failure, starter motor, or immobiliser failure. We diagnose on-scene as part of the AED 100 fixed price. Honest transparency is why 4,800+ customers have reviewed us 4.9 stars

How our flat battery roadside assistance works

From your call to driving away exactly what happens at every stage.

01

Call or WhatsApp

Tell us your location and the car’s make and model. Battery type matters; modern stop/start, hybrid, and European BMS cars need different procedures. 90-second call.

02

Van Dispatched

The nearest van is moving in under two minutes. SMS sent with technician’s name and live ETA. No hold music, no call centres, your operator picks up directly.

03

On-Scene Diagnosis

Voltmeter check on battery, terminals, and alternator output in the first 60 seconds. Confirms whether it’s the battery or something else starter, immobiliser, fuel pump.

04

Portable Jump-Box

The NOCO Boost Pro GB70 is connected to the battery, never to another car. Clean 12V, no voltage spike. Engine cranks in 5–15 seconds. Safe for every modern ECU.

05

Post-Start Health Check

We run the engine for two minutes and measure alternator charge voltage. If it’s below 13.7V or above 14.7V, your alternator is failing, and we tell you the truth on-scene.

06

Pay & Drive

AED 100 fixed for a standard jump. Card, cash or bank transfer at the roadside. Receipt issued instantly. Drive away with confidence, or we switch to recovery if needed.

Why we never use cable-to-cable jumping in Dubai

Most older roadside services in the UAE still jump-start cars with cables connected to another running vehicle. We never do.

Voltage Spikes Fry Modern ECUs

A running donor car’s alternator pushes 14V+ into your dead system. Sudden surges can destroy the engine control unit (AED 4,000–12,000 on a modern Mercedes or BMW), ABS module, or airbag control unit.

Polarity Mistakes Cause Sparks

Reversed cables common in low-light situations can melt cables, ignite hydrogen gas from a failing battery, or rupture the battery casing. A risk that doesn’t exist with a portable jump box.

Battery Management Systems Confused

Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Land Rover and newer cars use battery-monitoring sensors that “log” discharge events. A cable jump bypasses this; the system reports incorrect state-of-charge for weeks afterwards.

Our portable jump-box: 2,000A lithium unit, clean 12V

Self-contained. No donor car. No voltage surge. No ECU risk. The same device that professional motorsport teams use to start race cars is now at your roadside in Dubai for AED 100.

When a jump start won't fix the problem

About 1 in 7 flat-battery calls we attend is actually something else. On-scene diagnosis is part of the AED 100 fixed price.

Alternator Failure

The battery is fine; the alternator isn't charging it. Jump will start the engine, but it will die again in 15–60 minutes. Needs a tow to a workshop.

Two recommended

End-of-Life Battery

UAE summers kill batteries in 2.5–3.5 years. If yours reads under 11.8V at rest and won't hold charge, replacement is the answer. We carry common AGM and lead-acid fitments on-board.

Replace on-scene

Starter Motor Failure

The battery and alternator are both healthy, but the engine still won't crank. A jump won't help. Workshop required.

Two recommended

Immobiliser / Ignition Fault

The dashboard lights up, but the engine doesn't even attempt to crank. Often a key-fob battery (we replace for AED 50) or an ECU issue.

Often AED 50 fix

Fuel Pump or ECU Fault

Engine cranks but doesn't catch. Not a battery problem. Tow recommended. The AED 100 call-out is waived against the recovery charge.

Battery jump start Dubai frequently asked questions

Our fixed price for a standard battery jump-start anywhere in Dubai is AED 100. This includes the portable jump-box service, alternator output check, and a post-start health diagnostic to confirm the alternator is charging correctly. No night, weekend or holiday surcharge. If on-scene diagnosis shows your problem is not the battery, we switch to recovery and waive the AED 100 against the tow.

The average arrival across Dubai is 24 minutes. Within Al Quoz, Business Bay, Downtown, Marina and Jumeirah, typically 15–25 minutes. Highway shoulders are prioritised at 15–20 minutes for safety. If we miss the 30-minute mark on inner-Dubai jobs, your call-out fee is automatically waived. We despatch the nearest van inside two minutes of your call.
Flat battery roadside assistance is a mobile service that brings the equipment to revive a dead car battery directly to your location instead of you needing to walk to a workshop, find jumper cables, or rely on a stranger with another car. We arrive in a fully stocked van with a portable jump box, voltmeter, alternator tester, and replacement batteries for most UAE-market cars. AED 100 is fixed for a jump-start and AED 350+ if a replacement is needed.
Not the way we do it. We use a NOCO Boost Pro portable jump box, a self-contained lithium unit which delivers clean, controlled 12V current with no donor car involved. Cable-to-cable jumping from another running car is a different story; that method can spike voltage and damage modern ECUs, alternators, ABS modules and airbag control units. We never do cable-to-cable. We recommend against using any older Dubai recovery service that still does cable-to-cable on a 2018-or-newer car.
UAE heat is brutal on lead-acid and AGM batteries. A typical Dubai battery lifespan is 2.5 to 3.5 years versus 5+ years in cooler climates. If your battery needs jumping more than once in a six-month period, it is almost certainly time to replace it. Repeated deep-discharge cycles accelerate the failure. We carry common UAE fitments and can replace them on-scene during the same call.
Yes. Our vans stock common UAE battery fitments, both standard lead-acid (AED 350+) and AGM/stop-start (AED 550+). For luxury European cars with battery coding requirements (BMW IBS, Mercedes BMS, newer Audi), we carry diagnostic units to register the new battery to the ECU on-scene. The old battery is taken away for recycling at no extra charge.
Yes. Modern stop-start cars (most 2014+ European brands and many recent Japanese and Korean models) use AGM batteries that are not interchangeable with standard lead-acid. We carry AGM fitments and the diagnostic tools to register the new battery with the car’s battery management system. Fitting a standard lead-acid battery to a stop-start car damages the battery within months, and dashboard warning lights never clear.
Yes. Our commercial liability insurance covers your vehicle during the entire service call. In the extremely rare case of equipment-related damage (we have paid out three minor claims in 16 years), we cover the cost. Documentation with timestamps and photographs is available on request.
Yes. 24 hours, 7 days a week, including all UAE public holidays. Same AED 100 published rate at 3am as at 3pm. We answer within three rings, always.
Many comprehensive policies from AXA, Orient, Salama, Oman Insurance and RSA include free roadside call-outs per year; a battery jump-start is usually the most-used one. We are an approved roadside partner for these five insurers and can bill them directly if your policy covers the call, so you pay nothing at the roadside. Check your policy schedule under “Roadside Assistance” or “Emergency Breakdown Cover“.
Three things. First, make sure your gear selector is in P (auto) or Neutral (manual); many cars won’t crank in Drive. Second, check that your steering wheel is not locked (turn the key while gently turning the wheel side to side). Third, check the interior dome lights; if they are very dim or off entirely, it is almost certainly the battery. If they are bright but the engine won’t crank, the problem may be the starter motor or ignition switch, and a jump won’t help.
